Eric J. Martin

Shareholder/President of Martin & Morrison, P.C., was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.  After graduating from Lake Highlands High School in 1993, Eric received a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Political Science from the University of North Texas in 1998 and his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001.  During his law school career, Mr. Martin received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Constitutional Law, the Jurisprudence Award for Conflict of Laws, was elected the Executive Director of the Legal Research Board and received multiple merit-based scholarships.

Upon graduation, Eric worked briefly for Manuel E. Solis, P.C., training in Immigration, Workers’ Compensation and Immigration before moving in early 2002 to Ben Abbott, P.C., where he first-chaired forty-three jury trials in personal injury cases in only thirty months.  To gain experience in personal injury pre-litigation, Mr. Martin joined Kraft & Associates, P.C., for two years where he tried another five civil jury trials to verdict.  Following a year working with Ben Abbott, P.C., in a supervisory administrative role, Attorney Martin joined with Joseph R. Morrison to create Martin Morrison, P.C.

In his sparse free time, Eric volunteers his time for the United States Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol.  On January 21, 2007, Mr. Martin was appointed the Commander of the Dallas Composite Squadron headquartered at Dallas Love Field.  He has actively participated in Disaster Relief and Search and Rescue missions and exercises and has received the Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., Award, the General Chuck Yeager Award and the Commander’s Commendation Award.  Mr. Martin is currently a Captain with CAP with a promotion to Major pending for December 2007.
